Pensions in Tossa de Mar
Even if family pensions are no longer cheaper than one star hotels, the family connection takes part of the price and mostly the service is more personal. Obviously, there will be no nightclub, no Internet connection and no british television program.

In the surroundings of Tossa de Mar the rests of several villas from the Roman time were found. The most significant is the villa romana dels Ametllers which is in front of the Casa de la Cultura. Even if the most significant archaeological pieces found there can be admired in the museum of Tossa de Mar, there are still some mosaics in the excavation part as well as the foundation walls to be seen. Unfortunately, the access is mostly unsupervised and the degradation of the finding place, one of the most significant ones of the Roman province of Tarraconense, progresses thanks to the mass tourism.
